A total of 5,144 candidates spanning 21 states in Nigeria and 23 subject areas made the Federal University, Otuoke, their first choice in the JAMB-organized UTME exams that were sat for in June 2011 and released soon thereafter.  Another 4,000+ made FUO second choice. Of the first-choice candidates, from the results released, 3,989 made the universities’ cut-off mark of 180 and above, making them eligible to sit for FUO’s POST-UTME screening exams coming up in September 15, 16, 2011.  [Note that the cut-off mark of Polytechnics and Colleges of Education were announced to be 160 for 2011.] Tables outlining the specified compositions of the 5,144 students and 3,989 students for FUO are set out above and below.
