In honour of his contributions to academic growth the Ijaw student community, the Registrar Federal University Otuoke, Mr. David Souwari has been awarded the “Silver Buffalo Award of Excellence” by the National Association of Bayelsa State Students (NUBSS) – Uniport Chapter.

 

Presenting the award to the Registrar in his office, president NUBBS – Uniport chapter and leader of the 6 man award team, Comrade Etolor Ebi Prince, said the award was in acknowledgment of the Registrar’s impute to academic growth and excellence in Ijaw land.

 

He described Mr. David Souwari as a seasoned administrator who has traversed most parts of the country and finally brought his wealth of experience to the Federal University Otuoke.

 

Responding to the gesture, the award recipient, Mr. David Suowari said the award is an indigenous award which he holds dear to his heart.

 

He thanked NUBSS – Uniport Chapter for seeing him as a deserving recipient. “When a dancer dances he does not see his back” Mr. Souwari commented.

 

About 4 Senior Assistant Registrars witnessed the brief ceremony. Mrs. Amangi – Edomo, Mr. Orosola Lawrence, Mrs. Rita Agonodi and Mr. Kenneth Sonrandein including the Public Relations officer Ms. Mercy Ekott.
